“Quito was the first town discovered by the Spaniards when they found Ecuador. It is known as” the cultural heritage site” of the whole world. It is in the northern part of Ecuador and is just south of the equator. Quito is at the base of a volcano named the Pichincha volcano (culture grams). All of Quito is dived by three mountain ranges and is very prone to earth quakes. The first rulers of Quito were the Incas. Quito was actually built from ruins left over from the Incas. It was named the capital of Ecuador in 1832” (country reports).
